Mohammed Obidallah Alotaibi

Photonics and optoelectronics renewable energy technologies sensing devices

Joined the KAUST Photonics Laboratory as a Ph.D. researcher. Holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Umm Al-Qura University. Previous professional experience includes serving as an Instrument Engineer at Saudi Aramco, followed by academic appointments as a Teaching Assistant and Lecturer at Taibah University. Research interests focus on semiconductor optoelectronics, integrated photonics, high-speed optical communication devices, and photonic technologies for energy and sustainability applications. Osman M. Bakr is a professor of Material Science and Engineering at KAUST, specializing in the physics and chemistry of nanomaterials with unique optical, electronic, and magnetic properties. His research focuses on the development of hybrid nanomaterials for solar cells, batteries, and photonic devices.
